Creative DirectorFabio is a published illustrator, accomplished artist and an award-winning broadcast and advertising director. His sharp eye for beautiful design and keen sense of story, champions the creative visions of our projects. Whether wide screen spectaculars, virtual realities or corporate narratives, he thrives to stir hearts and widen eyes.
General ManagerMichelle’s experience has spanned paid, earned and owned media over the past 20 years, but her passion lies in integration. Specifically the potential of integrating world class creative thinking with emerging technologies to deliver revolutionary Learning and Entertainment solutions. With a long history in the agency landscape, Michelle has enjoyed local, regional and global roles, leading large teams locally and remotely to achieve their potential. She brings that combination of thought leadership and process efficacy to bear for our team and our clients alike.
operations director | co-founderPatrick is not only a co-founder of The Pulse, he also orchestrates the administration of our business. Having studied a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Commerce, he’s well-equipped for the task. His expertise in process design and analysis ensures that we remain streamlined, efficient and highly-effective.
Motion Graphics DesignerFred’s command of tools and tech perfectly complements his natural flair for design, making virtually anything possible when he’s at the helm. (Between us, he’s kind of our secret weapon). He tirelessly pursues perfection on every project, and always strives to deliver new thinking and innovative techniques. He’s certainly one of the creative cornerstones at The Pulse.
Dr Mark Hohenberg
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICERMark is a practicing physician specialising in geriatric medicine and a medical educationalist. Mark’s passion and vision has driven improvements in healthcare and education which has translated to improved outcomes for patients and future doctors. Mark’s expertise ensures that planning and implementation within the complex healthcare and education fields contextualise our approach to delivering the highest quality medical care and education innovations.
SENIOR TECHNICAL PRODUCERDavid seamlessly weaves together resources and workflows on even the most complex projects. His technical knowhow allows him to deeply understand the scope of creative tasks; and he tirelessly strives to improve our product, rather than just delivering it. He’s produced cross-platform content for huge events, both domestically and abroad, giving him sound knowledge of world's best practice.
SNR. DEVELOPERHan is a game developer and an AR and VR specialist. He was a C++ game developer before earning his master's degree in Information Technology from University of New South Wales. His research focus was a point-cloud based georeferenced AR solution supported by a wearable stereo vision system. In other words, Han is a genius and we’re very glad to have him as part of our team.
Technical DirectorPhil’s immense technical ability is a result of over 15 years in the entertainment, games and film industry. From rigging and animation, to pipeline and motion capture; his hunger for new tech workflows and languages is absurd to say the least. His game credits include Rockstar’s, L.A. Noire, and Sony’s, Heavenly Sword. As for films, a couple of George Miller’s Happy Feet and most recently Alex Proyas’ Gods of Egypt. Phil is our go-to for anything VR, AR…and beyond.
Head of Marketing and Strategic DevelopmentDaragh has at one point or another been involved in all aspects of marketing and has over 20 years in corporate management. From advertising agencies to client-side, and having run her own successful company for many years, she has the relevant business, communication, and entrepreneurial skills required to ensure our business grows and succeeds. Her instinctive knack of applying forward-thinking, robust strategies to new world processes is second only to her infectious laugh and tenacious work ethic.
Technical SupportAs you can imagine, there’s a vast array of technical networks, systems and infrastructure that quietly hum away behind the scenes at The Pulse. David is the man who makes sure everything runs like clockwork. He ensures deliverables are accurate and mastered to the right specs. Plus, he’s handy with editing and motion graphics too; making him an invaluable and versatile team supporter.
JNR. PRODUCERShane brings a huge amount of knowledge and experience to The Pulse team. He produced his first television show at 22, was an Assistant Director on a Cannes winning film: Lifebuoy Social Mission, and has worked on a myriad of TVCs, television shows and short form content. He was awarded the Best Research Project at RMIT - 2015 on “Panoramic Stereoscopic Cinema” and his learnings have been assimilated into AFTRS’ Virtual Reality short course: INTRO TO VR.
Senior ProducerSimone Barker brings over 20 years’ experience to The Pulse team, having worked as a VFX, Design, and Motion Graphics producer in New York, London and Sydney at facilities such as Animal Logic, Click 3X, Spontaneous Combustion, The lab, Iloura, Digital Pictures, The Mill and Cutting Edge. As an experiential producer she has produced work all over the world for auto shows, fashion shows, event launches and other live events including the interactive screen content choreographed to the dancers of the acclaimed Italian choreographer Rafael Bonachela in Sydney Dance Company’s “2 one another”.
Production SupportLandon is the kind of generalist every production needs. Whether its B-rolls, production support, technical assistance, stitching 360 content, or prevising event content. No matter what needs to be done, if Landon doesn’t already know how to do it, he’ll figure it out.
Receptionist / Office ManagerClarinda brings an all-rounded experience to The Pulse, drawing from a variety of administration and production support roles in several areas of media businesses including talent casting, film festival and panel events coordination, broadcast and TV production. Her work experience has developed and strengthened her passion for new media and multiplatform storytelling, and she hopes to eventually become a producer in this field.
VFX / CG SupervisorAndrew has been working, in VFX for over 15 years now, on both short and long form content. He has worked on blockbusters such as Lego Stars Wars , Iron Man 3, Hunger Games 2. And on numerous TVC’s including, Mazda CX3 'Frozen', NZ Powerball 'High-Five', Elantra 'Shell', Campbell's V8 'Park', Sony Bravia 'Exploding Paint', Renault 'Parts', Mars 'Chasm', and Nike 'Flyknit', to name a few. His most recent work includes supervising VFX on the VR Bombing of Darwin experience for Tourism Northern Territory. In his own words “I like to be ‘on the box’. This way I feel connected to the project and I can continue to do what I enjoy most - to make beautiful images”.
Content and Development ExecutiveMelody has been producing and editing for over 8 years and has worked with a wide variety of mediums from TVCs to web series and feature films, spanning over live action, 2D and 3D animation. Her background in 3D Animation and post production coupled with her experience as an actor and writer have given her the skills needed to weave creative and engaging stories with a technical and logistic eye.
